The site is an allocated Sustainable Urban Extension under Policy ERM1 in the Councils adopted Local Plan, which is permitted to come forward for housing development, when the Council can not demonstrate that they have a full 5 year housing supply against their targets. With the principle of development in this location established the following questions are therefore focused on the context of housing need in the Borough and the proposed scheme design, layout and mix of homes.

Q.1 Do you agree there is a shortage of private market housing in the area?*

Q.4 Do you support the inclusion of a serviced parcel of land for use by the travelling community as a single residence?*

Q.5 The scheme proposes 161, 1 to 5 bedroom homes, including 56 affordable homes of a mix of rented and shared ownership housing and 105 private market homes, of which 25 will be age restricted apartments for the over 55’s. Do you agree that the scheme as proposed delivers a range homes to help meet the needs of the Borough Council?*

Q.6 The proposals have been designed with two points of vehicular access serving the residential development and 1 point of vehicular access seving a single pitch for 1 mobile home and propose to prioritse pedestrian movement with ‘copenhagen crossings’, woodland walks and improved connectivity from the site towards the town centre. Do you agree with the proposed access and transport strategy?*

Q.7 The scheme is landscape led, with the aim to retain as many trees where it is practicle to do so. Do you agree with the design intent and layout proposed?*
